They Were Running!
Last week, seniors
Jena Dewalt and
Skylar Morley continued their ascent in the record book for career steals at USC Aiken. Dewalt moved within two steals of tying for fifth place and now has 42 for her career. Morley moved into sole possession of eighth place with 40 steals.
Moving Into The Top Spot
On Sunday, Apr. 7, junior
Lakyn Phillips moved into a tie for first place at USC Aiken for career saves. Phillips now has five saves, moving her one ahead of
Payton Baker as well as Taylor Morgan and into a tie with India Kornegay, who had five from 2011-14.
Hitting The Long Ball
Head coach
Jaclin Poole's team has hit at least one round-tripper in the last seven contests. In the final game of the series against Lander, the Pacers hit one. USC Aiken hit one in the opener against Emmanuel before posting two homers in the nightcap. The squad belted one in the opener at Augusta before hitting two in the middle game of the series. The team uncorked another long ball in the series finale. During the last seven games,
Austyn Dixon led the way with three round-trippers while
Kate Newberry had two.

Mallory Shaver had one home run each.
