AUGUSTA, Ga. – University of South Carolina Aiken golf standout
Erik Olin tied for fourth place at the Peach Belt Conference Championship on Sunday.
Olin, a native of Falsterbo, Sweden, shot five-under par, 211, for the 54-hole event at the Forest Hills Golf Club on a par-72, 7,086-yard course. His three-under par, 69, on Sunday marked the second-best round for the entire field over the last 18 holes of competition. For his effort, Olin garnered all-tournament team accolades.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team completed the tournament at two-over par, 866, for fifth place. No. 1 North Georgia won the tournament with an 18-under par, 846. Georgia Southwestern shot even-par, 864 while Lander and USC Beaufort edged the No. 7 Pacers with their one-over par, 865. Columbus State (+4, 868) was sixth while Flagler (+18, 882) and Georgia College & State University (+20, 884) wrapped up the eight-team field.
Oscar Abrahamsson earned a 10
th-place finish after shooting one-under par, 215.
Rory McDonald O'Brien notched a one-under par, 71, on Sunday. He tied for 16
th after posting a score of two-over par, 218, for the 54-hole championship.
Mitchell McNeill tied for 28
th with a nine-over par, 225.
Jonah Winter was a stroke behind McNeill and tied for 30
th.
The Pacers await the NCAA Selection Show for postseason play.
