EATONTON, Ga. – The No. 3 University of South Carolina Aiken golf team finished sixth at the Bobcat Invitational, which wrapped up Tuesday afternoon.
The Pacers shot 25-over par, 865, for the tournament. The team was just one stroke out of fifth place. Georgia Southwestern won the event (+11, 851) while North Georgia and Florida Southern were second and third, respectively. Nova Southeastern was fourth in the 15-team event.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team was led by
Rory McDonald O'Brien's five-over par, 215. He shot scores of 67-72-76 for the 54-hole event.
Oscar Abrahamsson and
Erik Olin tied for 18
th after shooting seven-over par, 217. Olin posted scores of 71-75-71 while Abrahamsson tallied marks of 73-71-73.
Jonah Winter was 32
nd with a 10-over par, 220.
Nick Goellner placed 53
rd.
The Pacers return to action Monday, March 25, when they play at the Tennessee River Rumble.
