AUGUSTA, Ga. – University of South Carolina Aiken softball standout Austyn Dixon has been named the PBC Freshman of the Week, as announced by the league office.

Dixon, a native of Kings Mountain, N.C., guided the Pacers to a 3-1 week.

In the win over USC Beaufort, she went two-for-three with a triple and a home run. 

After picking up a single in the opener at Georgia College & State, Dixon had a three-for-four outing in the 11-2 victory. She had two doubles and drove in two. In the series finale, Dixon accounted for a solo round-tripper to start the scoring in the 3-1 victory.

For the week, she went seven-for-14 with five extra base hits – two home runs, a triple and two doubles. Dixon drove in four runs and scored twice.

It marks the third time Dixon has picked up the honor this season (Feb. 5, Feb. 26).
