Women's Soccer | February 08, 2024

AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken, in conjunction with head women's soccer coach Adam Kleman, is pleased to announce the hiring of Kinsie Mitchell as assistant women's soccer coach.

"I could not be more excited to welcome Kinsie to the USC Aiken Women's Soccer Program," Kleman said. "We had a tremendous amount of interest in the position with several extremely qualified candidates, but Kinsie separated herself in her preparation, passion, and experience. She is extremely passionate about the holistic development of the student athlete and aligns perfectly with vision of the Four C's within the Pacer Division of Athletics.

"Her experience as both a player and leader on and off the field will be a tremendous resource for our current and future student-athletes. We are extremely fortunate to add a first-class human and I cannot wait to see the daily impact she makes on our University & Program."

"I am extremely grateful and excited to become a part of Pacer Athletics," Mitchell stated. "I am thrilled for the opportunity to learn from Coach Kleman and grow alongside the women's soccer program."

Mitchell comes to USC Aiken from Eastern New Mexico University. There, she was a graduate assistant for health and physical education while pursuing her Master of Science in Sport Administration.

In 2023, she was a camp coach at Texas A&M. She assisted the group head coach in coordinating overnight camp for three soccer groups. Additionally, she provided the athletes with information pertaining to a collegiate soccer career. Mitchell assisted in refining their basic soccer skills while at the camp.

In the spring of 2023, Mitchell gave private lessons for soccer. The private lessons were for individuals and small groups, helping beginner students understand the basics of soccer.

She also served as an administrative assistant in the athletic department for Eastern New Mexico University.

A standout on the pitch, Mitchell played in 52 matches, earning 46 starts during her career. She logged over 4,000 minutes as a defender. During her career, Mitchell garnered a pair of assists as a freshman and scored a goal as a senior against Texas Permian Basin.

While at ENMU, Mitchell served on the Student-Athlete Compliance Committee and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

She has been a US Soccer Referee and a Recreational Youth Soccer Coach.

Mitchell is CPR/First-Aid Certified, has a US Soccer Grassroots Coaching License and a United Soccer Coaches Goalkeepers Coaching Level I certificate.
