NEW ORLEANS, La. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's cross country team, along with rookie
Tess Studley, were recently recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The Pacers were among the schools that were named to the all-academic team for the 2023 NCAA Division II season. Head coach
Marshall Leonard's team recorded a team GPA of 3.305.
"It is commendable to express pride in the achievements of the women's team, particularly in their exemplary performances both athletically and academically," Leonard said. "Recognizing the dedication they exhibit toward their studies alongside their athletic pursuits underscores the importance of maintaining a balanced approach to collegiate life.

In order to qualify for all-academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period and compile a team score at their respective regional championship meet.
Additionally, Studley was named an all-academic athlete for the 2023 NCAA Division II season.
