AUGUSTA, Ga. – University of South Carolina Aiken softball standout Austyn Dixon has been named the PBC Freshman of the Week, as announced by the league office.

Dixon, a native of Kings Mountain, N.C., guided the Pacers to a 4-0 week.

In the opener against Converse, she tallied a hit. In the nightcap win, Dixon accounted for a two-RBI double and also scored a run.

Against Claflin in the first game, she posted a pair of hits, including a home run, while driving in a career-high five runs. In the weekend finale, Dixon blasted a two-run round-tripper in her only at bat.

For the week, she went five-of-nine from the plate with three extra base hits (two home runs and a double). Dixon drove in nine runs and scored three times. 

In the field, she had three assists and 20 putouts for the week. 

It marks the second time this season Dixon's picked up the honor.
