AUGUSTA, Ga. – University of South Carolina Aiken golf standout Oscar Abrahamsson has been named the PBC Player of the Week, as announced by the league office.

Abrahamsson, a native of Gothenburg, Sweden, guided the Pacers to a second-place finish at the Wexford Intercollegiate.

Abrahamsson earned co-champion honors after shooting an even-par, 216. He was one of three co-champions, along with a student-athlete from Georgia State and one from Winthrop.

Abrahamsson posted scores of 72-70-74 for his 54-hole total.

The first-place finish topped his previous best of fifth place at a tournament, which occurred during the 2021-22 campaign at the Wofford Invitational and the PBC Championship. 

Abrahamsson's effort helped USC Aiken garner a No. 5 ranking in the latest national poll.
