Huge Second Half For Horn

In the final 20 minutes against Georgia Southwestern, senior Tehree Horn accounted for 36.9 percent of the team's points. He erupted for 17 points in 17 minutes of action, helping the squad prevail against the Hurricanes by eight points. He hit all nine free throw attempts and was three-of-seven from the floor, including two-of-three from downtown. 

Simeon Says

Newcomer Simeon German continues to impress. Against the Hurricanes, he played 28 minutes and poured in 15 points on seven-of-13 shooting from the floor. He also swatted a game-best two blocks and snagged two boards while dishing out an assist and recording a steal.

Four In Double Figures

Head coach Mark Vanderslice's team had a balanced attack against the Hurricanes. In fact, four student-athletes reached double figures and two more were just a field goal away from the mark. Tehree Horn led everyone with 22 points while Simeon German accounted for 15 points. Tyler Johnson and Rhyjon Blackwell totaled 13 and 10 points, respectively.

Two Over Twenty

USC Aiken had a pair of student-athletes in double figures in the road win against the Cougars. Tyler Johnson erupted for a 24-point, 10-rebound double-double effort while Tehree Horn netted 21 points. The dyad combined to go 20-of-31 from the floor, four-of-nine from the three-point line and 1-1 from the charity stripe for good measure. 

Over Half The Time

Head coach Mark Vanderslice's team put together a solid shooting day at Columbus State. The Pacers buried 35-of-67 from the floor (52.2 percent). The team was also uncanny from the free throw line, hitting 11-of-13 (84.6 percent) in the 24-point win.

Inside The Numbers 

This week, USC Aiken hosts USC Beaufort on Wednesday, Feb. 21 before hosting Clayton State on Saturday, Feb. 24. Since moving to Division II, the Pacers are 147-136 (51.9 percent) in Wednesday games and 239-180 (57.0 percent) in Saturday contests. During the same time, the program is 5-5 on Feb. 21 and 5-3 on Feb. 24.

Against The Opponents 

This week, USC Aiken hosts USC Beaufort on Wednesday, Feb. 21 before hosting Clayton State on Saturday, Feb. 24. The Pacers hold a 1-0 edge in the all-time series against the Sand Sharks. USC Aiken maintains a 25-22 advantage over the Lakers in the all-time series.
