Lydia Leads The Way
Through six games, rookie
Lydia Johnson leads the team with a .476 batting average. She has a team-best 10 hits in 21 at bats. Johnson also has a team-high three doubles.
Going Yard
Standout
Jena Dewalt gave the Pacers a quick 1-0 lead in the nightcap against North Greenville, Dewalt blasted a solo round-tripper to lead off the bottom of the first inning. The homer helped propel the Pacers to a 6-0 victory.
Wheelin' & Dealin'
During the four games at home, head coach
Jaclin Poole's pitching staff has been outstanding. The dyad of
Payton Baker and
Lakyn Phillips have allowed just three earned runs during the 26-inning stretch. The two have combined for 23 strikeouts during the four games while allowing just three walks.
Speed Equals Runs
The tandem of
Jena Dewalt and
Skylar Morley lead the team in runs scored with six and four, respectively. The duo also leads the Pacers with four stolen bases apiece. Each student-athlete has scored a run over 50 percent of the time they have reached base safely.

This week, USC Aiken hosts Belmont Abbey on Wednesday, Feb. 14 before playing at Anderson on Saturday, Feb. 17. Since moving to Division II, the Pacers are 100-85-1 (54.0 percent) in Wednesday games and 232-201 (53.6 percent) in Saturday contests. During the same time, the Pacers are 4-2 on Feb. 14 and 9-7-1 on Feb. 17.
