AUGUSTA, Ga. – Three USCA men's soccer standouts were named to the PBC all-conference team, as announced by the league office.
The team was voted on by the league's head coaches.
Fasaikou Jammeh,
Felipe Mattos and
Jose Rabadan all garnered second-team honors from head coach
Nick Sakiewicz's squad. It marks the most all-conference performers the program has had in a single year since the 2014 season and the second-most all time in the program's history.
Jammeh, a junior defender from Bronx, N.Y., started 15 matches. He was tabbed the PBC Defender of the Week after a tremendous effort in the 1-1 tie against Lander in the regular-season finale. Jammeh was instrumental in guiding the Pacers to seven shutouts on the season (4-0-3).
Mattos, freshman goalkeeper from Sao Paulo, Brazil, picked up PBC Goalkeeper of the Week honors twice during the campaign. He posted seven shutouts on the season, including wins over Southern Wesleyan, Talladega, Shaw and Georgia Southwestern. Mattos also tallied shutouts in the ties with Catawba, North Georgia and Lander. He had 69 saves on the season and sported an .802 save percentage.
Rabadan, a senior forward from Madrid, Spain, started 15 contests and led the Pacers with six goals and 12 points. He notched goals in the ties with Belmont Abbey and Lander and found the back of the net in the wins over Shaw and Georgia Southwestern. Rabadan also scored against North Georgia and Clayton State. His match-winning goal came in the 1-0 shutout of the Hurricanes.
