BEAUFORT, S.C. – The USCA men's cross country team finished sixth at the Sand Shark Invitational Saturday morning in the 14-team event.
Head coach
Marshall Leonard's squad was paced by
Jacobo Garcia-Rivera's 30
th-place finish. The freshman posted a time of 27:37.9 at the 8k event. Fellow first-year standout
Evan McLeod notched a time of 27:48.8, which was good enough for 34
th.
Zachary Haase turned in a solid effort, crossing the finish line in 27:58.6. His effort allowed him to take 37
th place.
Luis Cruzado was two spots behind Haase in 39
th. Cruzado posted a time of 28:02.4.
Rookie
Jase Wilson was 50
th after crossing the line in 28:52.4. Senior
Riley Campbell's time of 29:27.3 was good enough for 53
rd.
Senior
Julio Rojas tallied a time of 30:05.8 for 59
th place.
Converse won the meet. Winthrop, Southeastern, Mount Olive and Newberry rounded out the top five teams.
The Pacers return to action Saturday, Oct. 26 when they compete at the PBC Championships at 9 a.m.
