Horn Sounds Off
All-region standout
Tehree Horn has had a solid season. In the victory over Southern Wesleyan, Horn garnered his second 20-point effort of the season. He drained eight-of-12 from the floor, including four-of-eight from distance. His other 20-plus point performance of the year came in the season opener when he tallied 21 points on nine-of-13 shooting, including three-of-four from downtown, in the win at Erskine.Â
Tyler's Tremendous Game
Tyler Johnson had himself a huge game in the victory over Southern Wesleyan. The standout turned in 16 points, which was second on the team. He chipped in a game-best 10 rebounds in just 25 minutes of action. For good measure, he dished out a game-best five assists.Â
Five In Double Figures
In the team's first game back after the holiday break, the squad had five student-athletes net double figures.
Tehree Horn led everyone with 20 points while
Tyler Johnson and
Jalen McCoy totaled 16 and 12, respectively.
Rhyjon Blackwell and
Devin Evans each accounted for 11 markers in the victory.Â
Opening PBC Play
USC Aiken opens conference play on Wednesday. The Pacers have won five of their last six PBC openers dating back to 2017-18. A year ago, the squad defeated Clayton State in the PBC opener at home. The team also picked up a win at Georgia Southwestern for the road league opener.
Inside The Numbers
This week, the Pacers open PBC play at Lander on Wednesday, Jan. 3 before playing at Georgia College & State on Saturday, Jan. 6. Since moving to Division II, the Pacers are 142-134 (51.4 percent) in Wednesday games and 234-178 (56.8 percent) in Saturday contests. During the same time, the program is 8-3 on Jan. 3 and 3-6 on Jan. 6.Â
Against The Opponents
This week, the Pacers open PBC play at Lander on Wednesday, Jan. 3 before playing at Georgia College & State on Saturday, Jan. 6. The Pacers and Bearcats are tied with 54 wins apiece in the series dating back to Nov. 22, 1975. The Bobcats lead the series against USC Aiken 32-27, but the Pacers have won the last two contests.Â
