ELON, N.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's cross country team took 12
th at the Elon Friday Night Lights Meet.
The field was comprised of mostly Division I institutions.
Duke won the meet while High Point and East Carolina rounded out the top three.
Head coach
Marshall Leonard's team was led by newcomer
Julio Rojas in the 6k race. He finished 57
th with a time of 20:22.3. Fellow newcomer
Justin Kaimann was not far behind him. Kaimann crossed the line in 20:33.3 for 60
th place.
Julian Mendoza raced through the line in 22:01.8, which was good enough for 74
th place. He edged teammate
Tyler Blowe, who ended his race five seconds later.
Riley Campbell garnered a mark of 22:47.6 for 76
th place.
Julian Salas took 84
th after finishing in 25:24.6.
The Pacers return to action next Friday at the Blue Bear Invitational hosted by Livingstone.
