AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken, in conjunction with head softball coach Jaclin Poole, is excited to announce the upcoming 2024 schedule.

"We are incredibly excited about this upcoming season," Poole stated. "With a solid group of returners mixed with an exceptionally talented freshman class, we have high hopes for this year. We are playing a competitive regional schedule to prepare us for an always grueling conference schedule. Last year's conference tournament left a hunger in our student-athletes to come out and compete, the goal as always is to make it to regionals. We hope the community will come out strong in support of our Pacer softball program!"

The Pacers open the season with a doubleheader at region foe Francis Marion Feb. 3. It marks the first time since 2014 the program will start the season away from home (not counting the COVID-shortened PBC-only schedule in 2021).

USC Aiken opens the home portion of the slate Feb. 4 when it hosts Newberry for a twinbill. The squad remains at J.H. Satcher Field with home contests against North Greenville (Feb. 10), Limestone (Feb. 11) and Belmont Abbey (Feb. 14).

Poole's team makes the trek to SAC-foe Anderson on Feb. 17 before returning home for games against Converse (Feb. 24) and Claflin (Feb. 25).

After a quick trip to Erskine on Feb. 27, the team opens PBC play with a three-game series against defending national champion North Georgia March 2-3.

The Pacers step out of league play for a road doubleheader at Catawba (March 6) before hosting Wingate (March 7). USC Aiken hosts USC Beaufort March 9-10 in PBC play.

Poole's team hits the road for games at Allen (March 14), Georgia College & State (March 16-17) and Columbus State (March 23-24) before returning home to square off against Lander March 29-30.

USC Aiken goes back on the road for contests at Emmanuel (Apr. 4), Augusta (Apr. 6-7), Flagler (Apr. 13-14) and Benedict (Apr. 17) before wrapping up regular-season play at home against Georgia Southwestern (Apr. 20-21).

The Pacers begin postseason play Apr. 26.
