AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball standout
Tehree Horn will return for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
Horn, a fifth-year student-athlete, transferred to USC Aiken after spending a season at Urbana. In the last three seasons as a Pacer, Horn accounted for 14.1 points per game and 5.2 rebounds a night. He is hitting on 46.6 percent of his shots from the floor and 87.2 percent from the charity stripe.
Last year, Horn guided the Pacers to the PBC regular-season title and a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Southeast Region Tournament. During the postseason tournament, Horn guided the team to the Sweet 16 with wins over No. 5 Catawba and No. 1 Augusta.
Horn erupted for a career-high 32 points in the win at Flagler on Feb. 11, hitting a career-best 13 field goals, including a career-high six three-point shots.
He has been an all-PBC selection twice, including a first-team honoree during the 2022-23 season. Horn was an all-region honoree last year after averaging a career-high 15.9 points and 6.3 boards a contest.
He has already netted 1,087 points while donning a USC Aiken uniform, which is 11
th on the school's Division II list.
"It's been a humbling experience and a blessing to be a part of a team with the potential that we have," Horn stated. "For me, it felt like another opportunity to be a part of something bigger than myself. I'm excited for the journey and hopes of winning another championship."
Horn graduated in May with a degree in business administration and will pursue an MBA.
