2023 USC Aiken Volleyball Schedule
AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken, in conjunction with head volleyball coach
Glenn Cox, is pleased to announce the upcoming 2023 schedule.
Thirteen home matches highlight the challenging slate.
"I am super excited about this upcoming season," Cox said. "I put together a challenging schedule that will give us the opportunity to be in position to be the No. 1 team in the NCAA Southeast Region. The schedule is a nice mixture of our always-challenging Peach Belt Conference schedule, a solid number of key non-conference/Southeast Region matches and should allow us to have one of the strongest strength of schedules in the league. Now we just have to take care of business."
Cox's team opens the season Sept. 1-2 at the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational. There, the team will square off against Mount Olive and Converse on opening day before taking on the host Bears to close out the event.
The USC Aiken Invitational takes place Sept. 8-9. Fans will get to see the Pacers for the first time in person against Belmont Abbey. Later in the day, the squad hosts L-R. Cox's team closes the tournament on Saturday against North Greenville and Carson-Newman.
The Pacers stay close by the following weekend as they compete at the PBC-Gulf South Challenge Sept. 15-16 at Augusta University. On Friday, the team takes on Montevallo and Mississippi College before concluding the tournament with Valdosta State.
Cox's team makes the trek to Greenwood to face off against Lander on Sept. 22 and Sept. 23. USC Aiken stays on the road the ensuing weekend at Flagler on Sept. 29 and Sept. 30.
After playing at Georgia College & State Oct. 3, the Pacers close out the regular season by hosting seven of the final eight matches.
USC Aiken steps out of PBC play to square off against Francis Marion on Oct. 10. The Pacers host the Bobcats on Oct. 13 before taking on the Eagles of C-N for the second time on Oct. 14.
Cox's squad hosts Emmanuel Oct. 18 before closing out the season with six PBC matches beginning with a home match-up against Augusta (Oct. 24). The Pacers entertain the Bearcats on Oct. 27 and Saints on Oct. 31.
After making the trip to Augusta on Nov. 3, the teams wrap up the third match of the season in the Convocation Center. The Pacers close out the regular season by hosting Georgia College & State.
