YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball standout
Emily Trushel has been named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association all-region team.
Trushel, a native of Brentwood, Tenn., led the Pacers to a No. 3 seed in the PBC Tournament and the No. 6 seed in the upcoming NCAA Southeast Region Tournament.
Trushel led the team in scoring (16.1 ppg), rebounds (5.7 rpg), steals (37), field goal percentage (52.7 percent), three-point field goal percentage (46.9 percent) and free throw percentage (93.3 percent).
The academic all-district honoree poured in a career-high 29 points in the win over Winston-Salem State. Trushel snagged a career-best 12 rebounds in the win at Columbus State and dished out a career-high six assists in the win over Georgia College & State. She also recorded a career-best four steals in the victory at Flagler. Trushel recorded a double-double with a 14-point, 12-rebound effort in the win over Augusta.
