AMERICUS, Ga. – University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball standouts
Emily Trushel and
Jentri Worley have been named to the PBC all-conference team, as announced by the league office.
Trushel garnered first-team accolades while Worley earned third-team honors. The duo guided the Pacers to the No. 3 seed in the upcoming PBC Tournament.
Trushel led the team in scoring (16.3 ppg), rebounds (5.8 rpg), steals (35), field goal percentage (52.9 percent), three-point field goal percentage (47.3 percent) and free throw percentage (93.0 percent).
The academic all-district honoree poured in a career-high 29 points in the win over Winston-Salem State. Trushel snagged a career-best 12 rebounds in the win at Columbus State and dished out a career-high six assists in the win over Georgia College & State. She also recorded a career-best four steals in the victory at Flagler. Trushel recorded a double-double with a 14-point, 12-rebound effort in the win over Augusta.
Against only PBC teams, Trushel led the conference in field goal percentage (53.2 percent), three-point field goal percentage (56.3 percent) and free throw percentage (95.1 percent). She finished second in the league in points per game (17.3) and 11
th in rebounds per contest (6.2).
Worley led the team with 107 assists during the regular season. She is second in scoring (11.9 ppg), steals (31) and free throw percentage (83.5 percent). Worley's 102 made field goals are second on the team and her 28 three-point field goals are third most on the squad. She is fourth in rebounds (5.1 rpg).
The academic all-district standout scored a season-best 21 points at Young Harris. She made a season-high eight field goals in the win at North Georgia. Worley had a pair of double-double efforts, including one with a career-high 12 rebounds in the win at Flagler. Her other double-double came with a 10-assist performance at Mount Olive.
In conference play, Worley is second in free throw percentage (86.1 percent), third in assists per game (4.0), fifth in assists-to-turnover ratio (1.3), 14
th in steals (1.4) 15
th in scoring (11.6) and 17
th in rebounds (5.2).
