Each week, USC Aiken will produce notes prior to the games. This week, USC Aiken hosts Erskine on Tuesday, Feb. 14, Clarion on Friday, Feb. 17 and Anderson on Saturday, Feb. 18 before hitting the road for a doubleheader at Wingate on Sunday, Feb. 19.
Weather Forces Changes
Last week, inclement weather got the best of the area. Due to the rain, head coach
Jaclin Poole's team had four games canceled – a pair of doubleheaders against West Georgia and Chowan.
Adams Stepping Up
Rookie
Kadence Adams has seen action in five of the team's games. She's responded with four hits in nine at bats to lead the squad with a .444 batting average. For good measure, her two walks are second on the team.
Over Half The Time
Standouts
Emily Ayers and
Shi Cain go for extra bases at least half the time they get a hit. Cain has three hits on the year, including a double and a round-tripper. Ayers has a team-best four hits and two of those base knocks have gone for doubles.
Staying At Home For A While
USC Aiken has a chance to play in front of the home fans a lot this month. Despite having four games canceled due to inclement weather, the Pacers have nine of their next 11 games at J.H. Satcher Field. Six of those games will be played this week – Tuesday against Erskine, Friday against Clarion and Saturday against Anderson. Each day, USC Aiken will play a doubleheader.

This week, USC Aiken hosts Erskine on Tuesday, Feb. 14, Clarion on Friday, Feb. 17 and Anderson on Saturday, Feb. 18 before hitting the road for a doubleheader at Wingate on Sunday, Feb. 19. Since moving to Division II, the Pacers are 122-75 (61.9 percent) in Tuesday games, 103-96-1 (51.8 percent) in Friday contests, 223-189 (54.1 percent) in Saturday affairs and 119-140 (45.9 percent) in Sunday matchups. During that same time, the team is 3-1 on Feb. 14, 8-6-1 on Feb. 17, 21-4 on Feb. 18 and 13-1 on Feb. 19.
Against The Opponents
This week, USC Aiken hosts Erskine on Tuesday, Feb. 14, Clarion on Friday, Feb. 17 and Anderson on Saturday, Feb. 18 before hitting the road for a doubleheader at Wingate on Sunday, Feb. 19. The Pacers are 30-8-1 in the all-time series against the Flying Fleet and the squad is 3-0 against Clarion. USC Aiken is 5-4 in the all-time series against the Trojans but the Bulldogs hold a 15-6 edge in the all-time series.
