Each week, USC Aiken will post notes. This week, the Pacers host Tusculum on Wednesday, Nov. 15 and Limestone on Saturday, Nov. 18. 

Starting Off In Style

USC Aiken started the season in fine style on Friday, Nov. 10. The Pacers traveled to Erskine and posted a resounding 96-58 victory. Four student-athletes recorded double figures with Tehree Horn leading the way with 21. Jameel Rideout added 18 while Demitrios Dixon and Tyler Johnson added 14 points and 12 points, respectively. 

Big Test Early On

In addition to already squaring off against No. 8 UNC Pembroke, the Pacers take on a talented Tusculum squad this week. USC Aiken will look to tie the series in Aiken. The Pioneers won the first two in the series but the Pacers bested Tusculum 83-66 in 2018. The Pioneers were picked to finish fifth in the SAC and defeated Lander by six to start the season.

Talented Trio

Head coach Mark Vanderslice's team returns three all-league performers from a season ago. Against No. 8 UNC Pembroke, the trio combined for 46 of the team's 64 points. That equates to nearly 72 percent of the offensive output for USC Aiken.

Inside The Numbers

This week, the Pacers host Tusculum on Wednesday, Nov. 15 and Limestone on Saturday, Nov. 18. Since moving to Division II, the Pacers are 140-134 (51.1 percent) in Wednesday games and 229-178 (56.3 percent) in Saturday games. During the same time, the team is 2-3 on Nov. 15 and 9-0 on Nov. 18. 

Against The Opponents

This week, the Pacers host Tusculum on Wednesday, Nov. 15 and Limestone on Saturday, Nov. 18. Tusculum holds a 6-2 edge in the all-time series against the Pacers. The Saints have a 19-17 lead in the all-time series against USC Aiken.
