GAINESVILLE, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's cross country team posted a seventh-place finish at the PBC Championship Saturday.
Augusta won the meet while Flagler and Columbus State were second and third, respectively.
Head coach
Marshall Leonard's team was led by rookie
Justin Kaimann's 31
st-place finish. Kaimann ran the 8k in 28:00.6. Fellow newcomer
Julio Rojas placed 37
th with a time of 29:29.7.
Riley Campbell crossed the finish line in a personal-best mark of 29:49.3 for 39
th place.
Joey Burdick and
Julian Mendoza were 46
th and 47
th, respectively. Burdick posted a time of 30:55.0 while Mendoza was right behind him with a time of 31:01.3.
Elkana Kipchumba placed 49
th after finishing in 32:48.1 while
Julian Salas took 50
th. Salas notched a personal-best time of 32:52.4.
The Pacers return to action at the NCAA Regionals Nov. 4.
