USC Aiken Is Sixth Seed For PBC Championship
AUGUSTA, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken softball team is the No. 6 seed in the upcoming PBC Championship, which is hosted by Lander.
The Pacers will take on the host Bearcats in the first game of the tournament, which is at 2:30 p.m., on Friday, May 6.
The winner plays the winner of No. 2 Columbus State and No. 7 Flagler on Saturday, May 7 at 2:30 p.m.
Georgia Southwestern is the No. 4 seed and will entertain No. 5 Young Harris at 5 p.m., on May 6. The winner advances to take on No. 1 North Georgia in the semifinals on May 7 at 12 p.m.
The PBC Championship is slated for Saturday, May 7 at 6 p.m.
This marks the first PBC Tournament for the Pacers since the 2016 season. That year, USC Aiken was the No. 7 seed. The team knocked off No. 2 Armstrong State and No. 3 Young Harris to advance to the PBC Championship against North Georgia. It marked the first time in PBC history the No. 7 seed advanced to the PBC Championship.
