Lakyn Phillips has been named the PBC Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league office.
Phillips, a freshman pitcher from Lexington, S.C., guided the Pacers to a 4-1 week.
She went 3-0 on the week, including a no-hitter and a shutout while throwing three complete games.
Phillips gave up just 13 hits and struck out 22 batters. For the week, she walked just four batters and allowed just one earned run. Phillips limited opponents to a .188 batting average.
She started the week with a no-hitter in the victory over Claflin. She struck out 14 batters in the 9-0 win.
In Friday's victory over No. 12 North Georgia, she worked all eight innings and had four strikeouts. She tossed all seven innings in the shutout victory over the Nighthawks and had four strikeouts in Saturday's win.
Phillips is second in the PBC in strikeouts (136), second in saves (2), fourth in innings pitched (122.0), fifth in the PBC in wins (11), fifth in complete games (12), seventh in games started (16) and eighth in ERA (2.87).
