AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken golf team finished fifth at the Wofford Invitational, which wrapped up Tuesday afternoon.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team finished with a score of two-over par, 866. The squad posted a final round two-under par, 286.
Oscar Abrahamsson led the way with a final-round three-under par, 69. He shot four-under par, 212, for the event and finished fifth.
Leo Johansson shot a final-round one-under par, 21. He carded a three-over par, 216 and tied for 34
th.
Björn Rosengren and
Charlie Denvir finished a stroke behind Johansson with a four-over par, 220. Rosengren shot an even-par, 72, over the final 18 holes while Denvir posted a two-over par, 74. The dyad tied for 37
th.
Wofford and UNC Wilmington tied for first. In the playoff, UNC Wilmington won. Appalachian State took third while Radford was fourth – just two strokes in front of USC Aiken.
