USC Aiken Takes Sixth At Tennessee River Rumble
LOUDON, Tenn. – The University of South Carolina Aiken golf team finished sixth at the Tennessee River Rumble, which was hosted by Lincoln Memorial.
The Railsplitters won the event by shooting two-under par, 862. Belmont Abbey was second (even-par, 864). North Georgia, Lee and Carson-Newman completed the top five at the event.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team finished with a score of 13-over par, 877. The squad shot three-under par, 285, over the final 18 holes of competition. The 285 was the second-lowest score of the day.
Leo Johansson led the effort by USC Aiken with his 14
th-place finish. Johansson shot one-under par, 215, for the tournament. After opening with a 72, he shot 74 before wrapping up the event with a three-under par, 69. It marked the lowest round by any Pacer at the event.
Thomas Trowbridge tied for 21
st with his four-over par, 220. He notched an opening-round 71 and a final-round 72.
The Pacers return to action Apr. 11-12 at the Wofford Intercollegiate. The tournament marks the last regular-season event for the squad.
