Each week, the University of South Carolina Aiken will produce notes. This week, USC Aiken plays at Shaw on Wednesday and entertains Claflin on Monday.

Career Night For Emily

After scoring a season-high 12 points in the team's first win of the season against Emmanuel, Emily Trushel continued upping her offensive output. In the victory over Winston-Salem State, Trushel erupted for a career-high 29 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the floor. In addition to it being a career-high effort, Trushel was just one point away from having one of the top-10 individual scoring efforts in USC Aiken's Division II history. 

Breanna Is Ballin'

Rookie Breanna Gustave continued to impress in the victory over the Rams. Gustave narrowly missed out on her first career double-double effort. In just 23 minutes of action. Gustave pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds. She buried three shots from the floor, including a three-point bucket, to go along with a pair of free throws for nine markers in the win. 

Hitting Over 40 Percent 

Head coach Mark Miller's team has seven players who have taken at least 10 shots on the season. Of those seven student-athletes, five are hitting over 40 percent from the floor. Jentri Worley leads the way with 53.8 percent shooting (14-26) while Emily Trushel (23-51) and Delaney Trushel (9-20) are neck-and-neck at 45.1 percent and 45.0 percent, respectively. Breanna Gustave is draining 44.8 percent (13-29) and Hailey Unger is connecting on 42.3 percent of her shots (11-26).

This week, the University of South Carolina Aiken hosts plays at Shaw on Wednesday, Nov. 23 before hosting Claflin on Monday, Nov. 28. Since moving to Division II, the Pacers are 127-127 (50.0 percent) in Wednesday games and 70-43 (61.9 percent) in Monday contests. During the same time, the team is 9-2 on Nov. 23 and 5-4 on Nov. 28.

The Pacers are 5-2 against the Bears in the all-time series, having won the last two games. USC Aiken trails the all-time series to Claflin 24-8 but the squad has won the last four games in the series.
