AIKEN, S.C. – The No. 19 University of South Carolina Aiken golf team will compete at the Irish Creek Invitational, which is hosted by Wingate University, Oct. 10-11.

The event will be held at The Club at Irish Creek, which is a par-71, 7,099-yard course in Kannapolis, N.C. In addition to the Pacers and Bulldogs, the event will consist of Catawba, Coker, King, Lander, Lenoir-Rhyne, Mount Olive, Newberry and Queens.

Head coach Michael Carlisle's team will be represented by Oscar Abrahamsson, Leonardo Bono, Karl Frisk, Rory McDonald O'Brien and Erik Olin.

Olin leads the team with his 71.7 stroke average. Having competed in one tournament this fall, Olin sported a pair of rounds that were par or better. He finished 11^th at the Camden Intercollegiate.

Frisk has played in all three tournaments this semester. His 72.4 stroke average is second on the team. Frisk had a top-five finish at the UNG Mizuno Intercollegiate and picked up PBC Golfer of the Week honors for his effort. He has shot par or better a team-best four times.

Abrahamsson sports a 73.1 stroke average, which is third on the squad. Through three tournaments, he has shot par or better three times, with the best round of 70. Abrahamsson has a pair of top-20 finishes, with his best one coming at the Bearcat Fall Invitational (19^th place).

Bono has a season-low round of 71. He currently holds a 75.0 stroke average and has competed in two of the three fall tournaments. His best finish was 20^th at the Bearcat Fall Invitational.

McDonald O'Brien has competed in a pair of tournaments and holds a 76.3 stroke average. His best round was a 73.
