GREENVILLE, S.C. – The No. 19 University of South Carolina Aiken golf team wrapped up its fall tournament with a 13
th-place finish at the Furman Intercollegiate.
The tournament was played at the Furman University Golf Course, which is 7,005 yards and is a par-71 course.
Chattanooga won the tournament (-14) while Davidson and James Madison tied for second €. Furman (+4) and Virginia Tech (+5) compiled the top five teams in the 15-team field.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team finished 28-over par, 880. The squad posted scores of 296-287-297 for the 54-hole tournament.
Erik Olin led the way with his 22
nd-place effort. His two-under par, 69, over the final 18 holes of action marked the team's lowest round of the tournament. Olin finished three-over par, 216.
Leonardo Bono tied for 32
nd after shooting six-over par, 219.
Oscar Abrahamsson notched a 36
th-place finish. He shot seven-over par, 220.
The Pacers return to action Feb. 20-21 at the Wexford Intercollegiate, which is hosted by Francis Marion in Hilton Head Island, S.C.
