AUGUSTA, Ga. – University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball standout Chidinma Okafor has been named the PBC Player of the Week, as announced by the league office.

This includes games from Dec. 20-Jan. 2. 

Okafor, a 6-3 center from Santa Clarita, Calif., guided the Pacers to a 1-0 record.

In the win over Kentucky State, Okafor nearly posted a triple-double. She accounted for 13 points on six-of-16 shooting. Okafor pulled down 17 rebounds in the win, including four on the offensive glass. She also swatted a season-high eight shots in the 70-40 victory.

Okafor is now averaging 11.2 points and 7.9 rebounds a game. She is also blocking over two attempts a contest.
