INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The University of South Carolina Aiken golf team earned an at-large bid to the upcoming NCAA Tournament.
USC Aiken makes its 10
th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team has a pair of first-place finishes and a pair of second-place efforts on the season.
The squad won the Camden Collegiate and the 7
th Annual UNG Fall Invitational. USC Aiken was second at the Bobcat Invitational and the PBC Championship.
The Pacers picked up a third-place effort at the prestigious Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate.
Leo Johansson earned all-tournament team honors at the PBC Championship.
Leonardo Bono and Johansson each picked up all-PBC honors.
USC Aiken was one of six PBC teams selected to the NCAA Tournament. The seeds of the ones selected were No. 2 USC Aiken, No. 3 Young Harris, No. 4 Georgia Southwestern, No. 5 Columbus State, No. 6 Georgia College and No. 7 North Georgia.
The Southeast and South Region will combine for a super-regional May 6-8 at the Streamsong Resort in Bowling Green, Fla. Florida Southern will serve as hosts.
