AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken standout
Leo Johansson is No. 1 in the latest Golfstat national rankings while the team stands in second.
Johansson posted a 14
th-place effort at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate. The three-time PBC Golfer of the Week also has three second-place efforts and a 12
th-place finish to his credit this fall. In addition to the Southern Tide Intercollegiate, Johansson was second at the Camden Collegiate and the Queens Fall Invitational. He has a stroke average of 69.86.
Björn Rosengren has three top-10 efforts to his credit this fall, including a seventh-place finish at the Queens Invitational. He took ninth at the Kiawah Island Invitational and tied for 10
th at the Southern Tide Intercollegiate. Rosengren is No. 13 in the latest rankings and has a 71.60 stroke average.
Leonardo Bono is 57th in the poll. He has a top-10 and a top-10 finish to his credit this year. Bono was ninth at the Kiawah Island Invitational and 19
th at the Camden Collegiate. His stroke average is 72.26.
Oscar Abrahamsson has played in three events and has a 73.77 stroke average. His best finish to date is a 22
nd-place effort at the Queens Fall Invitational. Abrahamsson is 69
th in the national rankings.
The Pacers trail only Barry University. Lincoln Memorial, Arkansas Tech and Oklahoma Christian are third through fifth, respectively.
The Pacers return to action at the Wexford Invitational Feb. 21-22. The event is hosted by Francis Marion.
