CAMDEN, S.C. – The No. 8 University of South Carolina Aiken golf team placed third at the Camden Collegiate, which wrapped up Tuesday afternoon.
Leo Johansson tied for the overall lead with two other student-athletes at the end of 54 holes but was eliminated after the first playoff hole. Johansson tied for second.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team shot 10-over par, 850, for the event. The squad shot 286-281-283.
Johansson shot scores of 71-71-65 for his three-under par, 207. On his final round of action, he registered five birdies without a bogey.
Björn Rosengren and
Leonardo Bono each had top-20 efforts. Rosengren finished 15
th after carding a score of three-over par, 213. Bono was a stroke behind him, finishing four-over par, 214. He finished 19
th.
Charlie Denvir and
Karl Frisk completed the event in 43
rd and 52
nd places, respectively.
The Pacers return to action Oct. 11-12 at the Queens Invitational in Kannapolis, N.C.
