CHARLESTON, S.C. – The nationally-ranked University of South Carolina Aiken golf team is tied for eighth place after the first day of competition at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team posted a 13-over par, 589, through the first two rounds of action. The Pacers shot 12-over par, 300, for the first round and notched a one-over par, 289, for the second round. USC Aiken is tied with High Point.
The Pacers are led by
Leo Johansson, who is tied for 20
th. Johansson shot two-over par, 290, for the 18 holes of play before firing a one-under par, 287, for the second round of action.
Leonardo Bono is tied for 28
th. He shot one-over par in each of the first two rounds of play.
Björn Rosengren is tied for 54
th. He tied Johansson for the team's low round of one-under par, during the second round.
Oscar Abrahamsson is tied for 59
th while
Karl Frisk is tied for 68
th.
Seton Hall leads the tournament after shooting 12-under par, 564. Florida State (-8, 568) and South Carolina (-5, 571) round out the top three. Virginia and the College of Charleston are tied for fourth (-4, 572) while Campbell (+6, 582) and Francis Marion (+1-, 586) are sixth and seventh, respectively.
