AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken, in conjunction with head golf coach
Michael Carlisle, is excited to announce the addition of Karl Frisk for the 2021-22 season.
"Karl is a very experienced tournament player," Carlisle said. "He has been playing at a very high national tournament level for several years and we expect him to come in right away and play for us in the fall."
Frisk, a native of Spring Grove, Pa., attends Spring Grove Area H.S.
Frisk is No. 82 in the Rolex AJGA 2021 class. During his junior year, he set the Pennsylvania state record for lowest score in a high school match at 10-under par, 61 at South Hills Golf Club in Hanover, Pa., against South Western H.S.
He has five AJGA top-15 finishes to his credit, including a second-place effort at the UHY/The First Tee of Greater Baltimore Junior Championship by AJGA. Frisk has a 2020 tournament scoring average of 73.2.
