AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken golf team is set to open the 2020-21 campaign at the Camden Invitational Oct. 5-6.
Playing for head coach
Michael Carlisle's team at the season-opening event are
George Eubank,
Leo Johansson,
Nicholas Poole,
Björn Rosengren and
Thomas Trowbridge.
Eubank played in four events a season ago and posted a 74.2 stroke average. His best finish was a ninth-place effort at the Queens Invitational. There, he posted a three-under par, 210.
Johansson was a second-team All-America honoree. The reigning PBC Freshman of the Year was a first-team all-league selection. Johansson garnered a team-best 71.2 stroke average while tallying three top-10 efforts.
Poole played in two events a season ago. He totaled a 74.5 stroke average while earning a 10-th place finish at the Kiawah Island Invitational.
Trowbridge, a PBC all-academic team selection a season ago, competed at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate. During his first year with the team, Trowbridge saw time in eight events.
Rosengren played in five events a season ago, tallying a 74.0 stroke average. The Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America scholar accounted for an 18
th-place effort at the Firestone Invitational.
The tournament is hosted by Limestone. In addition to the Pacers, PBC schools including Flagler, Georgia Southwestern, Lander, North Georgia and Young Harris will also be competing in the tournament.
Greensboro, Lee, Montevallo, Piedmont, Southern Wesleyan and Valdosta State will also partake in the tournament.
