AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken golf team is set for the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational, which will take place Apr. 6-7 at Forest Hills Golf Club.

The event is hosted by Augusta University. It is the 41^st edition of Augusta's home event, which features 15 teams competing for two days.

Head coach Michael Carlisle's team will consist of Felix Asper, George Eubank, August Lindvall, Dan Sheehan and Thomas Trowbridge.

Asper will be competing in his second tournament of the spring. He initially competed at the Newberry College Invitational. Asper currently sports a 79.7 stroke average.

This marks the ninth tournament of the year for Eubank. He currently holds a stroke average of 74.6.

Lindvall has competed in all nine previous events. He is second on the team with a stroke average of 72.9.

Sheehan leads the squad with a stroke average of 72.2. He has competed in all 27 rounds on the year.

Trowbridge is competing in his fifth tournament of the season. He currently holds a 75.1 stroke average.

Last year, USC Aiken took fourth in the event. Sheehan was the team's top returning finisher after he shot one-under par, 215, which was good enough for 21^st place. Eubank carded a 34^th-place finish after shooting three-over par, 219. Lindvall was a stroke behind Eubank and took 39^th.

The 2019 field includes Augusta, Air Force, No. 39 Arkansas, Georgia State, Houston, No. 24 Illinois, Mercer, Northern Illinois, Notre Dame, No. 18 South Carolina, No. 7 Texas, UCF, USC Aiken, Virginia Tech, and No. 3 Wake Forest.

The first two rounds take place on Saturday, April 6 with a 36-hole shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The event concludes on Sunday, April 7, for the final 18 holes with tee times off holes one and 10 from 8:30 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. Founded in the rich tradition of golf in Augusta, Ga., the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational has grown since its first year in 1979 as one of the top tournaments in Division-I golf. This is the 41^st edition and the 38^th at Forest Hills golf Club.
