ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The No. 24 University of South Carolina Aiken golf team finished seventh at the PBC Championship, which wrapped up Sunday afternoon.
The Pacers shot five-over par, 293, over the final 18 holes of competition. Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team shot 28-over par, 892, for the tournament.
USC Aiken headed into the day in fifth place, but Clayton State and Georgia Southwestern climbed into the top five.
Flagler, playing on its home course, won the PBC Championship. The Pacers had won the previous two PBC tournaments on the Slammer and Squire course. Young Harris and Columbus State rounded out the top three teams.
George Eubank led the way, finishing one-over par, for the event. He highlighted his final round with an eagle on No. 5. Eubank finished in ninth place.
Thomas Trowbridge played well during his first PBC Championship, taking 11
th place. He had a three-hole stretch on the back nine where he birdied each one, helping him shoot four-over par, 220, for the tournament.
August Lindvall finished 21
st after shooting even-par, 72, on the final day of competition.
