AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken golf team finished in seventh place at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate.
The Pacers shot 23-over par, 863, for the event. The tournament was played on a par-70, 6,617-yard course.
South Carolina won the event with a tournament-record fo27-under par, 813. The team was the lone squad under par. Virginia and UAB each shot eight-over par, 848. Clemson, Memphis and Charleston Southern finished ahead of USC Aiken in the 18-team field.
Head coach
Michael Carlisle's team was led by
August Lindvall's four-over par, 214. He finished 15
th at the event.
Dan Sheehan was a stroke back of Lindvall, shooting five-over par, 215.
Thomas Trowbridge finished 26
th while
George Eubank took 29
th.
The Pacers return to action March 18-19 at the Bobcat Invitational.
