AIKEN, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken, in conjunction with head golf coach
Michael Carlisle, is pleased to announce the 2017-18 schedule.
"Once again, USC Aiken has the most challenging tournament schedule in all of NCAA Division II golf, Carlisle said. "This helps to make our student-athletes and our team the best they can be by playing against the strongest teams on great golf courses.
"The 14
th annual Kiawah Island Invitational is one of the best Division II tournaments in the fall. The 21
st annual Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate has a strong Division I field at the historic Palmetto Golf Club in the spring."
The Pacers, which return an abundance of talent and have an influx of tremendous newcomers, open the season by hosting the Kiawah Island Invitational Sept. 11-12. The following week, USC Aiken heads to St. Augustine, Fla., for the Jay Jennison Flagler Invitational Sept. 18-19.
Carlisle's team travels to Akron, Ohio, for the Firestone Invitational Oct. 2-3 before ending the fall slate with the Camden Collegiate Oct. 21-22.
The Pacers open the spring schedule by returning to Kiawah Island, S.C., for the Newberry Invitational Feb. 19-20. A week later, the squad travels to Hilton Head, S.C., for the Wexford Plantation Invitational.
USC Aiken hosts the 21
st annual Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate March 5-6 in what should be one of the toughest fields in the history of the event.
The Pacers return to Division II play March 19-20 at the Bobcat Invitational in Eatonton, Ga. From March 23-25 USC Aiken will compete at the Furman Invitational in Greenville, S.C. The team wraps up the regular season March 31-Apr. 1 at the Augusta 3M Invitational.
After the conclusion of the regular season, USC Aiken will compete in the PBC Championship and NCAA Championships.
