ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - In a battle of two of the top three teams in the NCAA Division II Southeast Region, Flagler proved much for USC Aiken on Friday, earning a 3-0 Peach Belt Conference victory over the Pacers at Flagler Gym.
Flagler opened the match by earning a 25-19 victory in the first and second games. The Saints closed out the match with a 25-14 win in the third and final set.

Things do not get any easier for the Pacers this weekend as they will travel to Savannah, Ga. tomorrow (Saturday) to face off against league rival and regionally-ranked No. 4 Armstrong Atlantic State.
The Pacers along with Flagler are the only ones to have taken down the Pirates in league action in 2009 presently. USC Aiken acquired a 3-1 win over AASU on Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Convocation Center.
