Box Score DUE WEST, S.C. - Alie Brady scored the lone goal and the University of South Carolina Aiken women's soccer team acquired a 1-0 non-conference victory over Erskine on Tuesday afternoon at Huggins Field.
The victory over the Flying Fleet gives USC Aiken its second consecutive victory as the Pacers bested Peach Belt Conference foe Clayton State in their last outing. The winning streak is the first of the year for the Pacers.
USC Aiken is now 4-10 overall in the 2010 season. Erskine dropped to 6-9 on the 2009 season with its loss to the Pacers.
Brady's goal came at the 18:10 mark in the first half. She was assisted on the goal by Maria Frontroth (Buenos Aires, Argentina/BBS). Â The goal was the fifth of the 2009 season for Brady (Summerville, S.C./Summerville).
USC Aiken finished with eight more shots than the Flying Fleet in the match with the Pacers taking 14 shots compared to just six shots by Erskine.
USC Aiken will next welcome Converse to the "Pacer Pit" in Aiken, S.C. for a 7 p.m. match on Thursday, Oct. 22.
USC Aiken will then close out the week by playing the first match of a men's and women's Peach Belt Conference doubleheader with Georgia Southwestern at the "Pacer Pit" on Saturday, Oct. 24. Kick-off is slated for 1 p.m. It will be senior day at the "Pacer Pit."
