Box Score MOUNT OLIVE, NC – Senior forward Chris Commons scored 25 points for the Pacers as USC Aiken went on to an 81-76 victory over Barton College in the 43rd Annual Pickle Classic on Friday November 21. 

Errol Frails' three-pointer sparked a 9-0 Barton run and Kershaw's layup with 15:05 left in the half gave the Bulldogs their biggest lead at 17-8. Barton (1-2) still led 29-22 before a turnover, a layup by Commons and an intentional foul against Barton sparked a 7-0 Pacers run to tie the game. Junior forward Josh Dollard's basket with 3:31 remaining broke a 31-31 tie and the Pacers went into the locker room with a 43-39 lead.
 
USC Aiken (2-0) would never trail in the second half and Cordaryl Ballard's fast break slam dunk built the Pacers' lead to 60-49 with 11:22 remaining. The lead grew to as many as 14 points after a pair of free throws by Kingsley Oguchi with 5:59 remaining.
 
The margin was still in double digits with less than three minutes remaining when L.J. Dunn hit a pair of free throws and Kershaw hit a three-pointer to pull Barton within 78-72 with 1:40 remaining. 

Offensive rebounds led to an extended possession for USC Aiken, but the Pacers missed a pair of free throws to keep the door open for Barton. 

Aaron Suggs hit a pair of free throws for the Bulldogs with 23 seconds left and after a Pacer free throw, Kershaw's putback of his own miss made it a one-possession game and pulled Barton within 79-76 with 5.1 seconds remaining. But Commons hit a pair of free throws to seal the win. 

Commons also tallied three blocks, one steal, one assist and seven boards for USCA in 30 minutes of play.

Eddie Kershaw led the Bulldogs with 20 points and stole the ball once. L.J. Dunn recorded 13 boards, while Jaren Haley added five assists for BC.

Dollard recorded 15 points for the Pacers, four assists and one block, while junior guard Mark Brown totaled 10 points, one assist and two steals.

???????The Pacers will next play the host team Mount Olive Trojans in the Pickle Classic on Saturday November 22 at the Kornegay Arena in Mount Olive, NC. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m.
