Box Score AIKEN, S.C.--Trailing 3-0 heading into the bottom of the fifth, USC Aiken (8-3) erupted for 14 unanswered runs to pound Brevard (6-5) 14-3 in non-conference baseball action on a damp Wednesday evening at Roberto Hernandez Stadium. The 14th ranked Pacers avenge Tuesday's 7-5 upset loss at the hands of the Tornados.
Chad Jacobsen led the offensive onslaught with a 2-for-5 night, driving in four and scoring twice. Jacobsen (2) smacked a three-run blast as part of a five-run seventh inning. The Pacers' first baseman is hitting .415 and slugging .732 with 14 RBI through his first 11 games in the Cardinal and White.
Chris Sheehan added a 3-for-5 performance with two RBI and a pair of runs scored. Sheehan (4) crushed his fourth home run, a solo shot also in the seventh, in the past six games.

Josh Eachues, and
Marc Joehnk all added multiple-hit games while
Matt Spivey drew three walks.
Brice Warner was the offensive threat for Brevard going 3-for-4 with two RBI. As a team, the Tornados had six hits while stranding 10 runners on base.
Mark Yarbrough (1-0) tossed 3.1 innings of one-hit, scoreless relief of
Jonathan Bolt to collect his first win of the season. He fanned five and walked one in 12 batters faced.
Chris White was touched for three earned runs on five hits and three walks in 4.2 innings pitched in the no-decision. Talon Rawls (0-1) did not record an out in three batters faced, surrendering three earned runs on two hits in the loss for Brevard.
USC Aiken continues its 20-game, season-opening homestand this weekend when the Pacers put their perfect conference mark on the line. USCA will battle Lander in a PBC doubleheader beginning Saturday, February 24 at 1:00 PM at Roberto Hernandez Stadium. Brevard will play at Voorhees in a twinbill, also on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
