Biography

2006 (Sophomore): Made the most of his 15 games played, hitting .471 with seven runs scored and two RBI...Top hitter among those with less than 75 at bats on the season...Had a career-game
against North Greenville on April 19 going 2-for-2 with one RBI,
two walks, and three runs scored...Also had two hits on April 18
against Belmont Abbey.

2005 (Freshman): Appeared in eight games as a freshman...Also served as an important behind-the-scenes player as the Pacers’ primary bullpen catcher...Saw action against #25 Catawba as well as other key opponents such as Newberry and Barton.

Summerville High School: Hit .281 with two home runs as a senior...Committed just three errors in the field earning the “Mr. Hustle” award...Led the Greenwave to the South Carolina 4A State Title in 2003 batting .305 with one home run...Earned “Gold Glove” award.

Personal: Matthew C. Spivey is the son of Tim and Terry Spivey...He is majoring in Political Science.
