Box Score MORROW, Ga.--The 13th ranked Clayton State Lakers (9-1-1, 3-1-0 PBC) netted one goal in each half to down the USC Aiken Pacers (5-5-2, 0-4-0 PBC) by the count of 2-0 on Saturday afternoon in Peach Belt Conference men's soccer action. With the loss, the Pacers fall to .500 for the first time this season as Clayton State wins its second straight over USCA and improves to 7-4-1 in the all-time series. 

USC Aiken also extends its regular season conference winless streak to a record-tying 16 games. Francis Marion had owned the mark set from 1992 to 1995. The Pacers' last PBC win came, ironically enough, against the Patriots on October 10, 2001 and is the next conference opponent USCA will face this season. 

Clayton State's Todd Denson was awarded a penalty kick in the 23rd minute of play following a USCA foul in the Lakers' box. Denson's shot to the lower left portion of the net beat keeper Zac Van Frank for the game's first goal. 

Juan Trujillo added an insurance tally with his team-leading ninth marker of the season in the 51st minute. Off a free kick, Trujillo beat Van Frank to make it 2-0. 

USC Aiken was out shot 15-6. Andre Joseph and Georgi Peev were the lone Pacers to put a shot on goal. 

Van Frank recorded five saves for USCA. Heath Padgett and Matt Sutton shared time in net for the Lakers combining to stop two shots in the shutout win. 

USC Aiken will play at Presbyterian College in non-conference action on Tuesday, October 12 at 5:00 PM.
