GREENWOOD, S.C. - USC Aiken's women's cross country team finished seventh at the 12th Annual Lander/Connie Maxwell Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.  The event was held in Greenwood, SC. and hosted by Lander University.

Three Lady Pacers finished in the top 25.  Kelley Shemansky led the way with a 19th place finish and a time of 22:38.  Stacey Courtwright followed in 20th and Kelli Buice finished 24th.

Twelve schools were represented at the meet.  USCA accumulated 155 points, which tied Southern Wesleyan for sixth place.  However, the Lady Pacers lost the tie breaker and finished one spot behind the Lady Warriors.

Andrea DeFoe (34th) and Veronica Derico (37th) finished among the top 50.  Ashley Reedy (54th), Ashley Northington (62nd), Lacey Gunther (66th) andSarah Liebelt (68th) completed the scoring for USCA.

Anderson College won the event with a score of 26.  The Lady Trojans had three runners finish in the top five led by Jessica Merrill who topped all runners with a time of 20:09.

The Lady Pacers will run again Saturday at the Winthrop University Invitational in Rock Hill, SC.  The race will start at 10:00 a.m.
