CLINTON, SC - For the second week in a row, freshman Veronica Derico led the way for the Lady Pacers cross country team as they place eighth of nine teams at the Presbyterian College Invitational Saturday, October 6.
Derico finished at a time of 23:36 which placed her 18th in the field of 66 runners. It is her highest finish this season, just two minutes off the leader.
Faith Zimmerman returned to action and completed the course in just under 25 minutes as she came in 38th place.
Lander's Emily Keith helped the Lady Senators take second place behind Erskine as she finished first in the 5K race with a time of 21:37.
USCA's next competition is Saturday, October 13 at the Patriot Invitational hosted by Francis Marion in Florence, SC.
