WINGATE, N.C. – The USC Aiken women's soccer team played Wingate to a 1-1 draw in a non-conference women's soccer match at the Wingate University soccer facility.

The Bulldogs are now 4-7-1 overall while the Pacers are 4-6-2.

Katie Strand boomed in a loose ball from 40 yards out at the 24:25 mark in the first half, just three minutes after the Bulldogs had a goal waved off due to an offsides call. Strand lifted a high floater just off the hands of USC Aiken keeper Kellie Young.

In the second half, Kirsten Haas scored on a penalty kick at the 53:01 mark after the Bulldogs were called for a takedown in the box. The Pacers nearly scored a game-winner with three minutes left in regulation, but Becky Blankenship punched away a hooking shot from Jacqueline Francois from the right side of the box.
