University of South Carolina Aiken baseball standout
Chaz Pal has been named the Bronze Body Tanning Salon USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the 2015-16 athletic year ending May 29, 2016.
Pal, a native of Deerfield Beach, Fla., rattled off three hits in five at bats for head coach Kenny Thomas' team in the lone game of the week.
Against Lander in the NCAA Southeast Region Championship, Pal was just a hit shy of the cycle. He roped a single, double and home run in the contest. Pal garnered three RBI while crossing home plate once.
He opened the scoring with a solo shot to left field in the first inning. In the seventh frame, he doubled to right center field, plating
Tyler Ammerman. Then, in the ninth, he singled up the middle with two away to drive in
Luke Westerberg.
